Comfort and Adjustments

The AndaSeat Phantom 3 is a gaming chair in the middle price range that has a good mix of comfort, features, and price. It's well-made, with a sturdy metal body and high-quality materials. It also has a number of ergonomic features, like height, tilt, and armrests, that make it perfect for long game sessions.

I find it hard to shop for a game chair. I’m a big guy, so chairs can be tight for me. Even though there are some XL chairs, they can be big, expensive, or both. The AndaSeat Phantom 3 Gaming Chair gives you the comfort of a big game chair without making everything bigger. It fits in my office well and is still big enough for my hips. Even if you don’t need a bigger seat, the Phantom 3 is a good option for sitting at a desk or playing video games. It’s stylish, comfy, and comes in many different styles and materials.

AndaSeat Phantom 3 Gaming Chair: Description

The Phantom 3 is described as a combination of a business chair and a gaming chair, with a strong focus on how useful the product is. Even though we tried hard, this chair really does help us sit in the right way. Even though you can move around in the chair a bit, the whole thing is very hard and really keeps you in a good sitting position.

The best word I can think of to describe how the chair feels is “firm.” You can tilt back in the chair a little bit, but it takes a lot of work and isn’t a very comfortable position to stay in for long. The chair’s back is soft but strong, and it gives a lot of support. You can slouch in this chair or sit in all kinds of awkward ways, but sitting up straight is the most comfy.

AndaSeat Phantom 3 Gaming Chair: Price and Availability

At $399.99, £279.99, or AU$499, the AndaSeat Phantom 3 is one of the less expensive gaming chairs that the company makes. It’s not as cheap as some of the more budget-friendly products from other companies, but it also doesn’t skimp on features or quality of materials nearly as much. The chair is easy to get from both AndaSeat and big third-party retailers in the UK, US, and Australia, like Amazon.

Specifications Table

There are a few small differences between the Phantom 3 and other AndaSeat gaming chairs, but these changes come together to make a very comfortable chair. For one thing, the head pillow is very soft and gives way to pressure, so I don’t mind that it’s connected to the chair. The seat cushion on the Phantom 3 is softer than on other AndaSeat chairs, so I can move my legs in more places.

AndaSeat Phantom 3 Gaming Chair: Design

AndaSeat Phantom 3 Gaming Chair

The Phantom 3 in “Elegant Black” has a quality PVC leather. There is also a version made of linen, two other black colors, pink, gray, white, and a special Rainbow Six-themed version. “Elegant Black” is different from the other black chairs because the Andaseat logos on the front and back of the chair’s cushion are stitched in gold. This chair’s logo and all of its details are simple and clean, which makes it feel more like a high-end office chair than a game chair.

This will help and fit in more places, whether you’re at home, at a LAN party for gamers, or in a more serious office setting. Even more so if you choose the “Stormy Black” color, which has a stealthy all-black look, including the logos, neck rest, and back support pillow. If I were to buy this chair with my own money, I would choose the stormy black color. Aside from the color, the Phantom 3 is small, and the quality PVC leather has a nice soft look and feel, which makes it feel more breathable when you use it.

More on that later. Overall, I like that the Phantom 3 has a simple, focused look that makes it look more like an office chair than a game chair. I like the mix, and I think many other people will too. Like a real ghost, it fits in well with its surroundings.

AndaSeat Phantom 3 Gaming Chair: Assembly

When you open the box, everything is safely packed in, so there’s no chance of it getting broken during shipping. When I took the product out of the box, one thing that stood out to me was how few parts it had. I had to make sure they hadn’t forgotten anything because the chair was just the seat, back, and wheels. The only other things in there were some screws and the thing that holds the chair’s wheels in place. Also, they gave me a very detailed user manual with clear, concise instructions and pictures of the building process, so I never got confused while putting it together.

The wheels went on the base right away, which was probably the best part of putting it together. From there, it was hard to connect the back rest to the seat because the screws that came with it didn’t seem to fit right. It was easy to understand and follow the steps, but they just wouldn’t tighten. I’m not sure if this was just a problem for me, but it slowed down the process of putting it together quite a bit and was very annoying. Aside from that, the rest of the process of putting it together was very easy.

The magnetic safety caps that go over the screws that hold the backrest to the seat were another thing I really liked. They were easy to put on and can be taken off in a second if you need to get to that part again to tighten or loosen screws. After the chair was put together, all of its parts worked well and it felt solid. I’d say it took 30–45 minutes to put together in total, but that includes the trouble I had connecting the backrest. If you don’t have that problem, I’d say you could build it in 20 minutes.

Comfort and Adjustments

The Phantom 3 is very comfy and gives your back and upper legs great support all around. This is mostly because the chair is padded with soft foam that fits your body well. The PVC leather is also soft and nice to the touch. However, fake leather doesn’t always last long. But I still would have liked a seat that was longer and had more support for my upper legs. This doesn’t change how nice the other comfort features of this chair are, and the ergonomics are still good overall.

Just don’t think that this is the best chair for big and tall gamers. The chair from Andaseat is all about simplicity, so there aren’t a lot of ways to change it. This means that there are fewer moving parts that can break down over time, which you don’t want in things you might never use. You can lay the backrest all the way flat by pulling a button on the right side. The arm rest only moves up and down, which I much prefer because it lets me rest my arms in a more stable position.

You can also tighten or loosen the rocking tension for the tilt feature with a knob in the middle. Lastly, the height adjustment arm is in the bottom right corner of the chair’s base. It really lets the chair get nice and low, which is about 33 cm from the chair’s base to the floor at its lowest point. Even though the extra neck and back pillows are nice to have, I ended up putting them away.

AndaSeat Phantom 3 Gaming Chair: Performance

AndaSeat Phantom 3 Gaming Chair

Aside from the armrests, this game chair is very comfortable and does well in almost every other way. It has a very small footprint, which makes it great for people who are short on room or who want something that fits their smaller bodies. There is a tilt that can be locked and a 160° recline (from a standing position of 90°), so you can find the perfect angle to support your back and maybe even fall asleep between games at its lowest setting.

The steel frame on the inside feels very strong, and the thick foam padding is soft. It’s important to know that the chair is only good for people who are no taller than 5’9″ and weigh no more than 200 lbs. Even though there is some wiggle room with these measurements (I was able to sit easily even though I was a little taller than the recommended height), if you are much taller than the recommended height, you would be much better off with the larger AndaSeat Kaiser 3 or 3XL.

Your experience with the lumbar pillow will also be different, since there is no real way to connect it to the seat, even though it is very comfortable. This can be annoying because it falls out of place often and needs some fiddling to put back in place every time you sit down. It also means that it can’t be used for anything other than basic lower back support. This is a strange error, since adding a strap would make a huge difference.

AndaSeat Phantom 3 Gaming Chair: Competition

When it comes to the best game chairs, there are a lot of options to choose from. When looking for a new game chair, you should check out brands like Secretlab and GT Omega. In particular, the Secretlab Titan is a good competitor to the Anda Seat Phantom 3. The Secretlab Titan costs more than the Phantom 3, but it has many of the same features as the Phantom 3, plus a built-in back support that can be adjusted.

If you care a lot about your stance, the Razer Iskur may be a better choice for you. The back support and armrests on the Iskur can be changed in 4D ways. The most annoying thing about the Razer Iskur is that it costs $500. That’s $150 more than the Anda Seat Phantom 3, which is a big difference, but the ergonomics are much better.

AndaSeat Phantom 3 Gaming Chair: Pros and Cons

The AndaSeat Phantom 3 is an affordable game chair with a good mix of features, comfort, and quality construction. It’s great for gamers who don’t want to spend a lot of money on a chair that gives them the support and comfort they need for long gaming sessions.

  • Very easy to put together
  • PVC leather is nice
  • Removable pillows
  • Compact and Comfortable

  • More upper leg support would be nice
  • Uncomfortable armrests

Final Words

The AndaSeat Phantom 3 could be a good choice if you want a chair with back support, durability, and a simple, clean look. The firm and rigid shape of the AndaSeat Phantom 3 is great for encouraging good posture. Unlike other chairs, though, it has a wide range of ways to lean back, so you can take a break while you work on your back muscles. Overall, this chair is well-made, and if you want to buy it so you can sit up straight, its stiffness will be more of a feature than a flaw.
