The orphanage allows him to keep only one, and it is on a seemingly ordinary night that he wakes up to find the unfinished swan he has chosen missing from the painting itself. Monroe jumps onto the blank canvas and that’s it. The basic interaction-throwing objects, messing around, exploring-remains unchanged, but The Unfinished Swan keeps reinventing itself as we go along. It’s a sweet and imaginative story, especially rewarding when played with a physical controller.
Jumpgrid
That’s the basic premise of Jumpgrid, a $2.99 high-revving, high-speed arcade twitch. All you have to do is eat eight points and jump into a portal. But while each level theoretically takes a few seconds, many will have you wide-eyed, desperately trying to win when your fingers abandon you for the umpteenth time.
The tricky part involves the lasers that flash as you try to collect everything you need to get out. These follow a fixed pattern that changes with each level, and if you touch just one you will die. Fortunately, it is possible to skip these death beams. Unfortunately, they move with absurd speed, try to outsmart you at every moment and require split-second accuracy if you really want to outrun them. Nevertheless, you will want to outrun them.
