black hat (2015)

Following a cyberattack on a Chinese nuclear facility and the US commodity market, governments decide to join forces to hunt down the blackhat. Colonel Chen Dawai receives an assignment from the Chinese government and meets with Americans Carol Barrett and Mark Jessup in Los Angeles.

He invites his sister Chen Lien and discovers that the hacker used a computer code developed by his old friend from MIT Nick Hathaway, who is in prison for stealing money from banks. He urges Nick to join the team and they should follow suit to China. On their journey, Nick and Lien fall in love. However, they are unable to discover the motivation behind the attack and Nick has to take a risky step to find the hacker’s location. Will he be able to find out who is responsible for the attacks?
