Deal: Motorola Edge Smartphone on 42% Off, available for just $349.99

The latest Motorola Edge is a good budget phone that comes with high-end features. Even though the 2022 Edge builds on the company’s previous Edge, it has a surprisingly beautiful 6.6-inch OLED screen with a 144Hz refresh rate and a 5,000mAh battery. The Motorola Edge 2022 is Motorola’s latest entry into the midrange phone market.

The company hopes to attract shoppers on a budget by offering a big, fast-refreshing screen, a longer battery life, and better photos. At a different time, that might be enough to make people notice the Motorola Edge. The screen on the Motorola Edge (2022) works well in real life. The colors are bold and bright, the screen can get bright enough to use outside, and the 144Hz refresh rate makes it very smooth.

Features:

  • Supports mmWave and sub-6GHz 5G
  • Excellent battery life
  • Clean software with useful features
  • 3 years of guaranteed OS updates
  • Headphone jack

Everything on the Edge (2022) works almost too well. You can open apps, doomscroll Twitter, and navigate subreddits with ease. Not only is it smooth, but it also feels like lightning fast when you use it. A 120Hz screen would have probably been just as good, and I wouldn’t have been able to tell much of a difference, if any. But my Motorola Edge (2022) has been very quick, so I can’t really complain that Motorola went all out with 144Hz.

It’s been a pleasure to use. Motorola says that the Android software on its phones is “clean.” Unfortunately, that’s Android 12, which, to be fair, is what most of the best phones run. Android 13, though, is already on some Google Pixel phones. However, our Pixel 6a is running Android 13, and the differences between Android 12 and Android 13 are hard to see.

Motorola says that the Edge (2022) will get major OS updates for three years and security updates every two months for four years. In terms of battery life, Motorola was on par with its direct competitors, at least in some ways. The size of the 4,500mAh cell is the same as many other batteries in this area. With the Snapdragon 765G and some smart adjustments to the screen, the battery did a great job.

How to buy Motorola Edge?

In our battery torture test, for example, the phone lasted 6 hours and 39 minutes at full power, with the processor and other parts running at their highest levels. This is the least amount of time you can spend looking at the phone’s screen, and it’s a good number. Only 15W can be used to charge. We found that it took the charger that came with the phone more than 90 minutes to charge the phone from 0% to 100%.
