Deal on Eufy Floodlight Cam 2 2k for only $129

Eufy’s Floodlight Camera 2K, now renamed Floodlight Cam 2, is the perfect security upgrade to existing outdoor lighting. Combining two powerful, positionable LED floodlights with a high-definition security camera, it provides light for your safety and convenience and a deterrent to potential thieves. The infrared lights allow for discreet recording at night, while the motion-activated projectors allow for color video and serve as a highly visible deterrent.

Unlike Google’s Nest Cam with Floodlight, a subscription is not required to get all its features, but while this means there are no ongoing costs, this camera is not without limitations. The Eufy Floodlight Cam 2 makes a good first impression. Mounted on a large junction box, its two metal projectors are highly poseable thanks to two ball connectors, similar to those on the Ring Floodlight Cam Wired Pro.

The camera is large, in part because of the large infrared motion detector, but the whole is well made. Although it is much more visible than a simple outdoor camera, its all-white finish should look elegant on the side of most homes or buildings. This camera is designed to be connected to external wiring suitable for any outdoor light. This makes it especially easy to install if you are upgrading an existing floodlight or light: simply turn off the relevant lighting circuit at the fuse box (or the whole house if you want to be especially careful), remove the old light, and connect the Floodlight Camera’s base plate.

It is easy to position its two floodlights to provide full illumination to a patio or good light to the rest of a small or medium-sized garden. These are powerful lights, but using the manual controls it is possible to adjust them to a rather low level, more suitable for an outdoor evening gathering. On the surface, the camera offers relatively simple motion detection functions. You can add up to two activity zones, to exclude, for example, a public footpath next to your backyard.

You can choose between detection of all motion or human-only filtering through the camera’s artificial intelligence. This does not allow you to recognize a specific person, but allows the camera to filter out pets or the movement of shrubs or trash. Buy the eufy Floodlight Cam 2 2k right now at $129

This Floodlight Cam 2 is an upgrade from the cheaper Eufy Floodlight Camera, which offers only 1,080p recording and does not have human detection. Both cover a 130-degree field of view, which is sufficient if you mount in the inner corner of an area, but could leave areas unfilmed if you mount in the center of a wall. This camera connects to an existing wireless network, and compared to other devices, it held up well to signal attenuation from the thick walls of our property. It was able to transmit 2K color footage at 15 fps without stuttering.
