Deal on Logitech G Pro X Gaming Headset (2nd Generation) for only $89

The Logitech G Pro X Gaming Headset is a wired gaming headset with a wide range of customization options. They are also very comfortable, well-built, and the boom microphone offers excellent overall performance. Unfortunately, like most gaming headsets, they are rather bulky and do not perform well in noisy environments. Audio performance can vary drastically from one user to another, so your experience may vary. The Logitech G Pro X gaming headset is suitable for wired gaming.

These headsets are comfortable enough to be worn for long gaming sessions. They have a well-balanced but punchy sound profile and a microphone that offers good recording quality and does a good job of isolating speech from background noise. They are also compatible with Logitech G HUB software that offers several customization options, including Blue Voice technology for the boom microphone. These are not your typical gaming headsets. While many competitive headsets sport aggressive or RGB designs, the G Pro X’s design is both sleek and sophisticated.

The headband is steel covered with a leatherette material with aluminum forks holding the earcups. These are all black with a silver circle with the Logitech G logo in the center. Light bounces off it in an attention-grabbing radial design. You definitely pay extra for premium materials here. The package contains two sets of ear pads. The leatherette ones are preinstalled, but Logitech also includes breathable velvet pads. Most of my testing was done with the leatherette pads. The leatherette offers a better seal, but the velvet is lighter and more breathable, which I preferred for longer sessions.

The Logitech Pro X gaming headsets are very comfortable. They have two different sets of memory foam pads: one covered in leather and the other in fabric. Both are very comfortable and feel good against the skin. The ear cups are large and deep and should fit most ear sizes and shapes. However, the cups do not have the best range of motion and may be a bit tight for some people. On the other hand, the headband is well padded and wide and distributes the weight of the headset well.

The control scheme of the Logitech G Pro X gaming headset is decent. These headsets have two audio cables with different in-line remotes. The braided cable is more suitable for games, as it has a microphone mute switch and a volume wheel. The regular audio cable is useful for mobile users, as it has a multifunction button to play and pause music, but unfortunately does not have a volume wheel. The Logitech Pro Xs have a reasonably well-balanced sound profile, albeit with some extra bass that emphasizes the boom and warmth of game sound effects. However, some users may find it a bit too muddy. However, dialogue and music should not be completely overwhelmed or disturbed by this exaggerated low frequency response.

Should this not be to your liking, the accompanying software has a graphic equalizer and a couple of equalization presets. The Logitech G Pro X have mediocre noise isolation performance and, like most other gaming headsets such as the SteelSeries Arctis Prime, struggle to block out ambient noise around you. In the bass range, occupied by the roar of airplane and bus engines, they achieve almost no isolation. They do a decent job of blocking out background chatter and offer excellent isolation performance for high-pitched ambient noise, such as the hum of an air conditioner.
