The Logitech M720 Triathlon is an excellent wireless mouse for the office. It has an ergonomic shape and a thumb rest that should be very comfortable for long periods of use. The appearance is almost identical to that of the Logitech Precision Pro, with some minor differences in color. Although it may be a bit small for large and extra-large hands when using it with a palm or claw grip, it is suitable for hands of all sizes with a fingertip grip. You can pair it with three devices simultaneously via Bluetooth and the USB receiver, and easily switch between them with the third side button. In addition, it is fully compatible with Windows and macOS.
Although the click latency, CPI range and polling rate are not enough for competitive games, they should be fine for everyday tasks. The Logitech M720 Triathlon has a simple, professional design, similar to that of the Logitech MX Master 2S and Logitech MX Master 3 models. It looks almost identical to the Logitech MX Master 2S and Logitech MX Master 3. It is almost identical to the Logitech Precision Pro, but the bottom is white instead of black. The L/R shots are made of black plastic with a matte finish, and the sides are covered with rubber grips. Because it has a thumb rest on the left side, it is designed for right-handed people.
Although it has a high back, the Logitech M720 fits well in most laptop bags. It also has a compartment for storing the USB receiver. Logitech M720 Triathlon is excellently constructed. Its L/R snaps are made of a solid plastic and the rest of the body is covered with durable rubber. None of its parts are loose or squeaky, and the scroll wheel wobbles a bit, probably because of its tilt function. Although this mouse is quite heavy compared to gaming models, you are unlikely to feel discomfort using it for long periods for work or daily browsing.
This mouse does not include any weight-optimizing features, although a AAA battery adapter can be used to power the mouse with a AAA battery instead of an AA battery, resulting in minimal weight. With its high back and thumb rest on the left side, the Logitech M720 Triathlon should be very comfortable for right-handers. However, because of its compact size, people with larger hands may not be able to hold it comfortably with a palm or claw grip.
Otherwise, all buttons are well placed and reachable. The Logitech M720 Triathlon has fantastic wireless versatility. You can pair it with three devices via Bluetooth and the USB receiver and easily switch between them using the dedicated side button. The PTFE feet glide quite well. They are quite thin and have some sharp edges that can cause some scratches. It does not come with additional feet and we could not find any third-party ones.
The Logitech M720 has a fair number of buttons. Using the Logitech Options software, you can reprogram the L/R tilts, the scroll wheel click, the first two side buttons, and the button on the thumb rest. The third side button allows you to easily switch between devices, while the button under the scroll wheel allows you to unlock infinite scrolling. There is a button on the thumb rest that enables gesture commands for as long as it is pressed.
