The Apple MacBook Pro is an excellent workstation. Its M1 Pro SoC can handle almost any kind of workload, including demanding tasks such as video editing and 3D rendering. It also doesn’t get excessively hot or noisy under load and doesn’t throttle much over time. There are plenty of ports, including full-size HDMI, USB-C with Thunderbolt 4 support, and an SD card reader, but you’ll still need a dongle for USB-A peripherals.

The 16-inch MacBook Pro 2021 has been redesigned in subtle but important ways. It measures 14.01 x 9.77 x 0.66 inches and weighs 4.7 pounds. The 100% recycled aluminum enclosure has a flatter lid than its predecessor, and vents on both sides for a redesigned cooling solution and internal six-speaker sound system. The M1 Pro chip in this machine is a beast.

Features:

  • Incredible display
  • Sleek redesign
  • M1 Max is still a more than capable chipset
  • Huge battery life

You can tell the moment you start using it because you can open applications instantly. The chip was designed by Apple, and the version has a 10-core CPU (8 performance cores and 2 efficiency cores), 16GB of RAM, and a 16-core GPU. What makes the M1 Pro so appealing is that it is not only powerful, but Apple has incorporated excellent hardware acceleration, all at a remarkably low power consumption rate.

This means that running intensive applications on battery power to exploit the CPU/GPU’s capabilities will not result in a significant drop in performance, unlike a power-hungry CPU/GPU combination. Apple claims that the MacBook Pro 2021 16-inch will allow up to 14 hours of web surfing on a single charge, but based on our testing, that is actually a bit of an underestimate.

How to get Apple MacBook Pro?

In our battery test, which subjected the laptop to endless web browsing over Wi-Fi with the screen brightness set to 150 nits, the 16-inch MacBook Pro 2021 delivered an excellent battery life of 15 hours and 31 minutes on a single charge. Apple’s latest MacBook Pro model offers the best performance ever and a great battery, plus improved ports, the best notebook display ever, and a new camera. However, it is still an expensive product.
