You can block a phone number if you get unwanted calls or if someone won’t leave you alone. As a result, your phone calls and text messages will no longer appear on your phone. If enabled by your phone and carrier, you can also use the Smart Call feature to block and report calls. You can also contact your provider to prevent callers from leaving voice messages.
How to do it
- Browse and open the Phone app.
- Touch More options (the three vertical dots) and then touch Settings.
- Then tap Block numbers. Touch Add phone number, and then enter the phone number you want to block.
- Then tap the Add icon (the plus sign) to register the contact in your block list.
Block contacts from the Contacts app
The Contacts application allows you to block contacts that you do not want to hear about. This method only works if the number is already added as a contact on your phone.
Browse and open Contacts, and then touch the contact you want to block. Touch More and then touch Block Contact. Touch Block to confirm.
