  • Click – Network and Sharing Center.

  • Check the radio box to Enable network discovery.
  • Click – Save Changes.

  • Press – Winkey.
  • Type: advanced system settings.
  • Hit Enter.
  • In the System Properties window, click the Remote tab.
  • Check the box for – Allow remote assistance connections to this computer.
  • Go to the Remote Desktop section.
  • Also, select – Allow remote connections to this computer.
  • And check: Allow connections only from computers running Remote Desktop with network level authentication (recommended).
  • Click Apply and OK to save the configuration changes.

  • Click – Save.
  • Click on the computer name to start the remote connection.

Allow remote connections in Firewall

  • Press – Win + S.
  • Type – Control.
  • Hit Enter.
  • Select – Window Defender Firewall.
  • Click – “Allow an application or function through Window Defender Firewall” in the left pane of the next window.
  • Now, click on – Change Settings.
  • Under Allowed apps and features, in the Name column, look for Remote Desktop and Remote Assistance.
  • Check the Private and Public boxes for both applications.
  • Click – OK.
