Follow these steps to set up Phone Hub so you can access your Android phone with your Chromebook:

  • On your Android device, swipe down from the top of the screen and make sure Bluetooth is enabled in the quick settings menu.
  • On your Chromebook, select the time in the bottom right corner of the screen, then make sure Bluetooth is enabled.
  • Select the Phone icon on the taskbar.
  • Select Get Started in the pop-up window.
  • Under Device detected, make sure your phone is selected, then select Accept and continue.
  • Enter the password for your Google account.
  • Select Done. Your Android phone is now connected to your Chromebook.
  • Select the phone icon on the taskbar to bring up Phone Hub. If you don’t see your phone information, tap Settings (gear icon).
  • Select Phone Hub to enable it. From here, you can enable other features like Smart Lock, Instant Tethering, Notifications, and Messages.
