How to Change Date / Time and Photo Location on iPhone

For Individual Photos:

  1. Open the Photos app in iOS 15
  2. Select the photo for which you want to change the metadata
  3. Touch the screen to access the lower menu, and tap the “i” icon
  4. Tap “Set” to change the date, time or location of the photo, and then tap “Done” in the upper right corner to save the changes
  5. You can also add a location or edit an existing one by tapping the arrow in the lower right corner of the location

For Multiple Photos:

  1. Tap the Select button located in the upper right corner of the Photos app
  2. Select the photos you want to change the metadata of
  3. Tap the Share button (square with up arrow)
  4. Swipe down and tap “Edit date and time” or “Edit location”
  5. Use the arrows on the right side to change the month or calendar dial for the day
  6. Tap the small arrow next to the month/year on the left to quickly choose a date earlier than the currently selected one
  7. Tap “Set” to save the changes
