From any device with a web browser, visit account.microsoft.com devices. You can use any computer, tablet or smartphone for this. When you’re there, sign in with your Microsoft account if you haven’t already. Make sure to sign in with the same Microsoft account that you signed in with on your Windows 10 device. You will be redirected to the devices page once you sign in.
On this page, you can see all the devices that you have signed in to with your Microsoft account, including Android devices. Though you can’t do much with an Android device except unpair it from your account. However, for Windows 10 devices, if Find My Device is turned on, click the Show details link. You will see Manage instead of Show details if Find My Device is turned off.
Now switch to the Find My Device tab and you can see the current location of your Windows 10 device. Along with that, you can see the battery status and the option to Lock it. In the pop-up window that appears, click Next.
You will then be able to write a message that you want to appear on your device once it is locked if you wish. The maximum length allowed is 160 characters.
