How to Play Resident Evil Village In VR

Hello everyone, today in this article we will show you how to play Resident Evil Village in VR. We played Resident Evil Village VR on stage at Tokyo Game Show 2022 and found that it is a great way to play the game. We also discussed our views on PSVR2 and its brand new features. So, without further ado, let’s get started.

The prolific modder who brought the Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3 remakes to VR has gone even further to bring the Resident Evil universe to a virtual reality headset. This time, Praydog has updated and added a handful of already impressive mods to bring Resident Evil 7 Biohazard and Resident Evil Village to PCVR, with a full 6DOF. Instead of the flat-screen experience, Praydog has integrated full VR 6DOF support for each game, full VRIK (so it’s no longer a floating pair of hands), and support for motion controllers.

According to the mods’ Github page, support for motion controllers is still under development, but at present the new controls are already making the experience even more immersive. The motion controls allow Resident Evil 7 and Village players to use their hands freely in the game. It is possible to wave your arms wildly in front of your own face or the faces of others at will. This also amplifies the immersiveness of combat, so escaping from the Lycans will be even more chaotic.
