Microsoft finally has its own system for managing Android notifications from within Windows. Since then, it’s possible to view your Android phone’s notifications on your Windows 10 or 11 PC as soon as they arrive and, if necessary, get your entire SMS history along with any pending notifications. You can even reply to messages and compose new texts right from your computer. The Windows app formerly called Your Phone was recently (and appropriately) renamed Phone Link. Here’s how to get started. (These instructions assume you’ve upgraded your PC to Windows 11, but the process will be similar for Windows 10.)

You’ll be going back and forth between your computer and your phone, so be prepared. With the Phone Link app on your PC linked to your Android phone, you can view and manage notifications from your Android device on your PC. After granting permission on your Android device, notifications from your Android device will appear on your PC. Additional actions are available for some notifications, for example replying directly to messages or snooze an alarm. Any notifications you delete on your PC will also be deleted on your Android device.

  • Open the Phone Link app on your Windows 10/11 PC.
  • Do one of the following:
    • Click/tap the Show notifications button on the notification panel.
    • Click/tap the Settings (gear) icon, click/tap Features in the middle Settings panel, and turn on Show in Phone Link app under Notifications in the right Features panel.
  • Open the Phone Link app on your Windows 10/11 PC.
  • Click/tap the Settings (gear) icon.
  • Click/tap on Features in the central settings panel.
  • Under Notifications in the Features panel on the right, uncheck Show in Phone Link app.
