You will want to figure out Diablo 4: How to Respec Skills. Unlocking new skills to improve your character’s abilities and the way the game works is one of the most important parts of any role-playing game. Anyone who has played Diablo before knows that skills are a big part of a player’s journey through Sanctuary, and this is still true in Diablo 4.
The core system from previous games is still in place, but Blizzard Entertainment has changed how a character’s skill tree works. This isn’t a hard thing to do, but unlike some other RPGs, it doesn’t cost anything. Read on to find out everything you need to know about how to change your skills in Diablo 4.
How to Respec in Diablo 4
Respecs can be done at any time while playing Diablo 4, because they are done in the Skill Tree tab, which you can look at anywhere and at any time. In previous Diablo games, if you wanted to respec your character, you had to go to certain NPCs. This is a great improvement to the game’s quality of life.
Once you’re in the Skill Tree menu, you have two options for respecs: resetting individual skills or resetting all of your skills. Both are easy, so it only takes a few seconds to do them. Here’s what you must do:
- To reset a single skill, right-click it on a PC or select it and hold X or Square on an Xbox or Playstation. This will give you back the point (or points) you put into this skill.
- To reset all of your skills, left-click (PC) or press X (Xbox) or Square (PlayStation) on the Refund All button and then accept the prompt. All of your points will be given back to you.

FAQs
Diablo 4’s recent beta sessions allowed players to test their skills across all classes. As such, a simple skill tree and respec system were a must. Blizzard provided both in spades. From the time a player reached Level 2 in the beta, they obtained the ability to respec their character.
Likewise, it should be noted that the Diablo 4 skill respec system is free only until Level 15. You’ll be able to change your character’s abilities often, without any costs, early in the game. However, once you reach Level 15, respeccing and resetting skills will cost gold.
Resetting your build in D4 is fairly easy, whether you want to swap a single skill or reset your entire build and start over. It depends on what your goal is: refunding a skill you accidentally put a point or two into, or resetting your whole skill tree to begin anew. Both cost gold.
