Ever wished you could scan a document on your iPhone or iPad? You can do it easily from the Files app and your device’s camera!
With the arrival of iOS 13 and iPadOS 13, Apple has made the Files app much more useful. In addition to being used to access external storage devices and SMB shared locations, it can also be used to scan documents directly to a folder as well.
By increasing the workflow, Apple has eliminated the need to use third-party scanning applications while allowing users to place scans directly in iCloud and local folders. No more searching for scans in application folders or relying on third-party solutions like Dropbox or Google Drive.
If you’re a large document scanner, this may prove to be the most used addition to the latest iOS and iPadOS software updates.
