See Long Term Stock Performance Charts on iPhone Stocks App (5 Year & 10 Year)

This guide is about the How to See Long Term Stock Performance Charts in iPhone Stocks App (5 Year & 10 Year). I will try my best so that you understand this guide very well. I hope you all like this guide How to See Long Term Stock Performance Charts in iPhone Stocks App (5 Year & 10 Year).

The iPhone Stocks app makes it easy to keep track of markets and portfolio holdings, and you can quickly see a particular day’s performance at a glance. Once you have selected a single logo or market index, you can take a closer look. The Stocks app provides chart views of activities for 1 day, 1 week, 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, 1 year and 2 years. These are undoubtedly useful insights into stocks and holdings, but for long-term investors, these are fairly short periods of time, and many want to see returns (or lack thereof) zoned over a longer period of five to ten years. Thanks to a little known trick on the iPhone, you can quickly see the long-term 5-year and 10-year performance charts for any ID in the Inventory app.

This is a very simple tip for the iPhone Stocks app, but it’s largely unknown and pretty well hidden. Here’s what to do to check long-term charts. Make sure you’ve added a few stocks or badges to the iPhone Stocks app to use this trick.

1: Select a stock price or market index from the Stocks app

First, open the Warehouses application as usual. Then go to and tap the logo or market index you want to see in the longer-term 5-year or 10-year performance view. The following example selects “C” for Citibank:

2: Rotate the iPhone screen to see the 5-year and 10-year chart area options

Once the selected stock price or market index is selected in the Stocks app, rotate the iPhone screen horizontally. You will now be taken to a larger performance chart view that reveals two other range options: 5 years and 10 years, just tap one of these to see the long-term performance of the selected badge. Here is the same C-ID in a 10-year view, impressive:

Rotate to landscape view to see long-term stock charts, including 5 and 10 year outlook

When in the horizontal performance view, you can swipe left or right to see other stock symbols and market indices added to the Stocks watch list. This is a great feature, even if little is known, maybe future versions of Stocks will also add technical indicators to the landscape view.

Keep in mind that you also get a fast stock market from Siri, although Siri has some trouble getting long-term chart data, so you should still recommend using the Stocks app or a standalone app like Bloomberg Business for better chart data.

This feature of the Stocks app is really great, especially when long-term performance is most important often for people building a nest egg or retirement account. It’s useful enough to imagine similar long-term graphs and performance details that are also available in other iPhone apps, especially apps like Health and Activity, where the ability to view long-term performance or any special features is severely lacking, hopefully similar features will arrive in other applications in the future.

Of course, if you don’t care about the stock market and don’t use the Stocks app, you probably won’t care about this feature, in which case you might even want to remove the Stocks widget from the iOS Notification Center as well.
