Tears Of The Kingdom: How To Beat Demon King Ganondorf

Master the battle against Demon King Ganondorf with our in-depth guide.

Ganondorf was revealed to be the main bad guy in The Legend of Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom: How To Beat Demon King Ganondorf. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild added some great new ideas to the Zelda universe, but the fight with the final boss was not one of them. So, putting Ganondorf back in the second game meant there could be a boss fight like the ones Zelda fans love. Ganondorf delivers on this promise with a multi-stage battle that is both interesting from a story perspective and hard to play.

Ganondorf’s battle has a total of five parts. It starts with a fight that lasts several rounds with his minions and ends with a cinematic battle in the sky. At the very least, players should cook a lot of sundew meals and put on their best armor that can handle Gloom damage, because the final boss does a lot of Gloom damage. Link can’t go back once he starts the fight with the Demon King’s army. He can’t go back until he beats Ganondorf or dies trying.

Where to find Ganondorf in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

After getting the Master Sword from the Light Dragon’s head, your first step should be to go back to Lookout Landing and talk to Purah. This will start the ‘Destroy Ganondorf’ quest. Now, all we have to do is find where the Demon King is hiding. He is, of course, in The Depths, which is the area under Hyrule Castle.

Before you go down there, it’s a good idea to stock up on meals that will restore your health and heal any cracked hearts. There’s a lot of bad stuff down there that we’ll have to deal with. Before this, I grew dandelions all over the Sky Archipelagos to make lots of food that will heal broken hearts.

During the Crisis at Hyrule Castle quest, you should have already been to the Serutabomac Shrine at the castle. Go there quickly and hop down to the ground level. Then, you should face north and jump into the chasm under the castle.

The Demon King’s Army

When you get to the bottom of the Depths, you’ll face an army of enemies who have all been infected by the Gloom. Even though this sounds hard, it’s by far the easiest part of the final boss battle.

  1. Bokoblins
  2. Lizalfos
  3. Gibdos
  4. Moblins

How To Beat The Demon King

If Ganon hits Link, the Gloom will steal your hearts, but the damage isn’t too bad… if you have enough Sundelion meals, that is. You can’t get through without them. Those of you who used my guide on how to beat Phantom Ganon will find that most of the strategies are the same here. The only difference is that you only have to deal with one Ganon instead of several. This battle will go much more smoothly if you can dodge and block Ganon’s attacks, which include: Charges, Swipes, and Slams.

The Role of Puzzle-Solving in Defeating Ganondorf

In Tears of the Kingdom, one of the most important ways to beat Ganondorf is to solve puzzles. Link has to figure out a bunch of puzzles all over the game world in order to get to Ganondorf. These puzzles can be anything from simple ones about the environment to hard ones about the dungeon.

  • Solving environmental puzzles: To solve these puzzles, Link must use his skills to interact with the world around him. Link might need to use his bombs to blow up a wall or his hookshot to get to a high ledge, for example.
  • Solving dungeon puzzles: Link’s skills are used to solve these puzzles in dungeons. Link might have to find keys to open doors or solve riddles to move forward.
  • Getting things: Some of the puzzles in Tears of the Kingdom can only be solved if Link gets certain things. Link might need to find a key to open a door or a flashlight to light up a dark room.

Can you flurry rush demon king ganondorf?

Your best bet is to take this part of the fight slowly and try to dodge his attacks perfectly so you can do a Flurry Rush. As you did with Phantom Ganon, watch the angle of his attacks to decide if you need to jump backwards or to the side.

Who is the hardest Ganon?

Each one is in a different Divine Beast, and while none of them are easy, Thunderblight Ganon is definitely the hardest. Link is surprised by how he flies around. It’s hard to get him to stay in one place, and the fact that he can make Link drop his weapons makes it hard to fight him.

What is Ganon’s weakness?

After he attacks, his aura goes away for a short time, giving arrows or other attacks a chance to hit him. As with all Scourges, Calamity Ganon takes more damage from Guardian or Ancient weapons, as well as the Master Sword, which is Ganon’s traditional weakness.
