How to Customize Action Center in Windows 11

The Action Centre was introduced by Microsoft for the first time in Windows 10, and its introduction resulted in a fundamental shift in the manner in which users interacted with their personal computers. Because of how simple it is for users to access the notifications, tools, and settings that it provides, it really shouldn’t come as a surprise that Microsoft decided to add it once more in Windows 11.

On the other hand, before we get started, let’s take a look at the new features that are available in the Action Centre in Windows 11. One of the most visible changes that has been made is that the quick settings and the notifications have both been moved into their own separate panels. This is one of the most noticeable changes that has been done.

As a direct result of the separation into these two categories, the Action Centre has been given a facelift that renders it both more streamlined and more user-friendly. The Quick Settings menu now has a more organised and uncluttered appearance, which is yet another fresh new feature. The designs of “toggleable” functions like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Aeroplan Mode have recently been simplified in order to make them more aesthetically pleasing.

Disabling Transparency Effects: Enhancing the Action Center’s Appearance

One way to achieve a translucent look with a solid color for the Action Center in Windows 11 is by disabling transparency effects. This simple tweak can provide a cleaner and more distinct visual experience.

Turning Off Transparency Effects in Windows 11

To turn off transparency effects and achieve a solid color for the Action Center in Windows 11, follow these steps:

  1. Open Settings: Access the Settings on your computers.
  2. Navigate to Personalization: Within Settings, go to Personalization.
  3. Adjust Colors: Under Personalization, select Colors.
  4. Disable Transparency Effects: Locate the switch for Transparency Effects and turn it off.

Final Words

The Action Centre in Windows 11 looks very different from the one we knew in Windows 10. The two are different in some ways, though. Before you do anything else, keep in mind that has a new panel layout. Your controls and alerts will be split into different groups, with notifications located above the Quick Settings panel. The Action Centre can now be resized or changed to fit your needs. It still has a “Clear all” button in the upper right corner.
