  • Click on the Apple menu, located in the upper left corner of the screen and press System Preferences.
  • Choose Apple ID. (If you have earlier versions of macOS, you’ll need to go to iCloud, then Account Details.)
  • Select Password & Security (or Security, for older operating systems) followed by Change Password.
  • If prompted, enter the password for an administrator account, and then click OK.
  • Enter your new password twice as prompted, then click Change.
