Christmas Deal: Save $50 on Anker Space Q45 at Best Buy

Noise-canceling (ANC) headphones with a lot of extra capabilities built into their design are the Anker Soundcore Space Q45 Wireless. They are the Anker Soundcore Life Q35 Wireless’s successor, however instead of having three ANC presets, they include adaptive ANC, which means that it adapts to your surroundings automatically. If you would like additional control over your noise isolation, you can switch to manual ANC. Like their predecessor, they are compatible with the Anker Soundcore app, which among other useful features, includes a graphic EQ and presets to help you get the most out of your headphones. They also support LDAC and multi-device pairing.

The over-ear Space Q45 headphones come in black and have earpads made of memory foam that are nicely cushioned. The headband and earpads are lined with faux leather on the inside, ensuring a snug and pleasant fit even during extended listening sessions. The internal frequency range of 40mm dynamic drivers is 20Hz to 40KHz. The headphones support the AAC, SBC, and LDAC codecs but not AptX and are Bluetooth 5.3 compliant. This pair is significantly more comparable to Sony’s high-end WH-1000XM5 thanks to support for the high-resolution LDAC codec.

A power and pairing button, as well as an ANC button that switches between ANC, Normal, and Transparency modes, are located on the side panel of the left earcup. A button on the side panel of the right earcup manages calls and controls playback. Additionally, you can press and hold this button for two seconds to mute the microphone or press it twice to activate the voice assistant on your device. When you hold down the volume rocker control next to it, it transforms into a track navigation button. It’s way too simple to mistakenly skip a track for track navigation when using the same button to control volume, therefore we never recommend it.

Beyond the default settings and firmware updates, the Soundcore app (available for Android and iOS) gives a tonne of additional options and capabilities. The primary page of the app displays a picture of the headphones, how much battery life they have left, and four separate control sections: Ambient Sound, Controls, and Sound Effects.

You can select between Adaptive Noise Cancellation or Custom Noise Cancellation in the Ambient Sound section. The former lets you pick between five degrees of ANC intensity, while the latter automatically adjusts the ANC levels based on your environment. Additionally, you have a choice of Talk Option, which expands the frequency range of the human voice, or one of five mic levels for the Transparency mode.3
