Deal: HyperX CloudX Flight Wireless in just $109.99 at Best Buy

The new HyperX CloudX wireless flight headset is here! HyperX’s officially licensed gaming hardware offers Xbox gamers a premium design and a host of features. Enjoy up to 30 hours of battery life, signature HyperX comfort, intuitive audio controls, and the wireless freedom every gamer deserves.

The box design is simple: a thin sleeve covers the main compartment where the headset resides, but the plastic and cardboard packaging ensures that the CloudX Flight arrives in like-new condition. But what is inside the box? The gaming headset, detachable microphone, USB charging cable, wireless adapter, and quick start guide are safely tucked away in the depths of the box, and through the clear plastic cover that secures everything, you can catch a glimpse of the beautiful hardware that awaits you.

When you first look at the CloudX Flight headset, you’ll notice the soft plastic, the adjustable steel sliders in the headband, HyperX’s signature memory foam in the soft earcups, and the control buttons that let you control a lot without being too intrusive.

The CloudX Flight has a closed ear cup design, integrated controls, LED effects, a detachable microphone with mute and mic monitoring options, and power and volume controls. The LED lights are both aesthetically pleasing and functional: the light around the microphone indicates whether it is muted or not, while the LED lights on the outside of each earcup can be toggled through different settings as you play. The lights in the earcups also “breathe” while charging.

The audio quality of the CloudX Flight wireless headset was excellent. HyperX really put a lot of work into the officially licensed product, and you can’t go wrong if you’re an Xbox gamer. Besides the delayed on/off button, there was one other criticism that thwarted an otherwise perfect listening experience.

The microphone had a constant hiss that affected the quality of the outgoing audio and also interfered with passive listening when the microphone was on and microphone monitoring was enabled. With microphone monitoring off, the hiss was imperceptible to my ears, but friends and fellow gamers commented on the poorer sound quality.
