Deal on Bowers & Wilkins PI5: get it on 30% discount at list price of $249.00

If you want to buy a pair of true wireless earphones that block out noise, there are a lot of good ones to choose from these days. The Bowers & Wilkins PI7 are one of the most expensive sets of headphones we’ve tested, but we really like them. The Bowers & Wilkins PI5 headphones are much cheaper than the Bose QuietComfort Earbuds and the Sony WF-1000XM4, which are two of the best headphones in their category.

The PI5 headphones have above-average active noise cancellation (ANC), and they have a bass-forward sound signature with good overall balance. There’s not much wrong with this, but for this price range, we like the Bose and Sony models better. For whatever reason, the PI5 fits better in the ear than its more expensive sibling. However, the use of hard plastic gives the same dull ache as its more expensive sibling.

  • Bass-forward sound signature with decent balance between lows and highs
  • Fun, bassy inflection to sound
  • Robust noise cancellation
  • Great aesthetics
  • Good call quality
  • Water-resistant build
  • Wireless charging support
  • Comfortable fit and elegant design

Even though it’s not as bad as the PI7, that’s not a good thing. But because they fit a little better, you don’t have to switch out the ear tips to make the seal tighter. The PI5 looks well-made because it comes in black or white, has a three-part housing, and has touch controls that look like they were made by a machine.

The controls let you use ANC, pause, skip tracks, and talk to the voice assistant, but you can’t change the volume or turn on Ambient Pass-Through (for that you need the app). Inputs are responsive, but playback often stops when cycling through ANC modes and if you listen to the Soundscapes in the app, auto-pause appears to be disengaged.

The Bowers & Wilkins earbuds use Qualcomm aptX to send high-quality audio wirelessly. They also have Active Noise Cancellation, two microphones on each earbud for clear calls, support for voice assistants, and a smart wear sensor. The smart charging case also lets you charge your phone wirelessly quickly. There is a USB-C to USB-C cable and three different sizes of silicone ear tips in the box.

How to buy Bowers & Wilkins PI5 TWS?

The PI5 has a battery life of 4.5 hours, which is the same as the AirPods Pro and longer than the PI7 (4 hours). That’s so sad. This is less than the average time of 5 hours set by the regular AirPods. And that doesn’t take into account volume, streaming, or ANC, which cut the playtime by another 30–45 minutes.
