Deal on Dell Inspiron 14 5425: laptop of list price $789.99 is now for $650.00

The 14-inch laptop screen size is becoming an increasingly common choice. It has a chassis that is significantly more compact than 15-inch devices, yet having a display that is larger than that of 13-inch laptops. It is also gaining popularity among convertible 2-in-1s, offering greater screen real estate for things like digital inking while being far less clunky than 15-inch 2-in-1s. This is one of the reasons why it is gaining popularity.

Dell is aware of this, and the company has designed its most recent Inspiron 14 2-in-1 laptop accordingly. The Intel Core i7-1255U CPU found in the Inspiron 14 2-in-1 includes, with this latest generation of Intel mobile CPUs, both low-power Efficient cores (E-cores, eight of them) and multi-threaded Performance cores. This configuration is analogous to the BIG. little architecture found in the majority of ARM processors.

  • Excellent performance
  • Unassumingly attractive
  • Mostly solid build quality
  • Good keyboard and mouse
  • Strong battery life

Its Performance cores have a maximum frequency of 4.7 GHz and support thread-doubling, but the E-cores do not. This results in up to 10 total cores and the ability to support up to 12 processing threads at the same time. Because of this, this particular Inspiron can function with a rather small battery that has only four cells and 54 watt-hours.

The more powerful Intel Core i7-1260P Processor found on the Inspiron 16 2-in-1 consumes more power, and as a result, the laptop comes with a battery that has six cells and 87 watt-hours. There is plenty of room in between each key on the keyboard of the Inspiron 14, and the touchpad is far larger than what is often found on laptops with 14-inch displays.

The resolution of the 16:10 touch screen is 1,920 pixels wide by 1,200 pixels high. Sadly, it is the only display option available, and it would be nice to have a screen with more brightness. The side bezels of the panel are narrow, making the screen appear to be larger than it actually is; the bezels at the top and bottom of the display are wider.

How to get Dell Inspiron 14 5425 laptop?

The dimensions of the enclosure are 0.62 inches in front height to 0.7 inches in rear height by 12.4 inches by 9 inches. The initial weight of 3.5 pounds is considered to be moderate. When you consider that the typical weight of a college textbook is 3.5 pounds, you can see that carrying that much around campus is not at all difficult.
