Deal on JLab Epic: save 15% at $99.00

JLab likes to make unique charging cases, and the one that comes with the Epic Air Sport ANC is one of the coolest and most powerful ones out there. The pebble-shaped case is easier to carry, lighter, and more useful than the case for the Powerbeats Pro. The built-in charging line is back, which has become a staple of the brand.

It makes charging on the go easier because you don’t have to carry around wires, but you will need a USB device or a wall plug adaptor to charge up. On the front, there are four LEDs that show the ridiculously long battery life (more on that later). The fact that these buds are made entirely of plastic gives you peace of mind that they won’t break if you drop them.

Features:

  • Good isolation and ANC
  • Comfortable
  • Affordable
  • Good software
  • EQ presets and option for custom EQ

The IP66 rating keeps sweat, rain, splashes, and dirt from getting into them. The style is also set apart by small things like the JLab logo and tiny status LEDs on the front. JLab packs the buds with five different sizes of ear tips that make a good seal to keep outside noise from getting into the mix.

You also get a pair of the brand’s unique Cloud Foam tips, which make the buds more comfortable and soak up sweat well, keeping the buds in place when you’re trying to stay dry. For the Epic Air Sport ANC, JLab made new touch sensors, but the results aren’t all that great.

The tap controls worked more than half of the time, and when you took the headphones out of your ears, the music stopped immediately. Sometimes, the sensors would think a one-tap command was a two-tap command and a three-tap command was a two-tap command.

How to get JLab Epic Air Sport ANC Earbuds?

The one thing that JLab does really well is that you can change how the controls work. The easiest way to set up the controls is through their companion app, which gives you full features right on the buds. In addition to the basics like play/pause, answer/end call, forward/back track, and voice assistant, you can also set volume controls and cycle through the different EQs or listening modes.
