Deal on Lasko Oscillating Ceramic Tower Space Heater for only $59

One of our favorite tower models, the Lasko Ceramic Digital Tower is a fantastic option if you want an appliance that offers superlative performance and a variety of settings and functions along with a sleek look. Its heating capabilities are phenomenal-this heater would be a great choice for your desk or living room. Since the most common use of a space heater is to heat a small area to make a person more comfortable, the first evaluation we conducted was to see how well each model performed in this respect.

We subjectively evaluated the heating capabilities of each model both under a desk and in a living room five feet away from a recliner. There are many factors that affect the practicality of using a space heater. These devices can be as simple and bare-bones as possible, or they can be equipped with a range of features and settings. For this metric, we carefully studied every detail, down to the intuitiveness of the symbols on the remote control buttons. The Lasko model was one of the highest scoring space heaters in this evaluation.

Unlike stationary heaters, the Lasko boasts an oscillating function that helps spread heat throughout the area. It also features a timer that goes up to eight hours in one-hour increments. The remote control that comes with the heater is one of our favorites. It sits well in the hand, is stylish, and the meaning of the symbols is quite obvious. Many of the heaters we have gotten our hands on have the ability to turn the heat up to 90 degrees or more, and the Lasko is no exception. However, we found its temperature settings, which go down to 39 degrees, particularly innovative. Although it may not be intuitive to want conditions with such a low heat level, sometimes the only reason you need a space heater is to prevent pipes, liquids, or other objects from freezing. In this case, it would be a waste of energy to heat the area to higher temperatures. To calculate the dollar amount needed to operate each heater, we used a wattmeter. We were then able to determine how much it costs to run each model for 10 hours, 24 hours, 30 days, and so on, using the national average price of kilowatts per hour.

The Lasko model is not the most efficient space heater we tested. To run this heater at 13.17 cents per kilowatt-hour on the highest setting requires 1.36 kilowatts per hour, which translates to $1.79 for 10 hours. That may not sound like much, but if you run it for a month for 10 hours a day, the cost is $53.70. That said, depending on the efficiency of your current heating system, you could save money by running a space heater in the room you are using rather than heating your entire home or office.
