Deal on Skullcandy Indy ANC Fuel for only $79

Sonically, they offer an outstanding bass footprint, while on the active noise cancellation (ANC) front they eliminate bass quite well and do a decent job with the rest of the frequency range. If noise cancellation is your priority, there are better options, such as the equivalently priced Anker Soundcore Liberty Air 2 Pro, but if you want acceptable ANC and intense bass depth, Skullcandy offers this combination at a reasonable price.

The earbuds have touch-sensitive outer panels that are relatively easy to control. However, the arrangement of controls is a bit counterintuitive: a single touch controls volume rather than playback, while a longer press allows you to go forward or backward in the track. We will not dwell on the entire menu of controls and related taps, but you can control playback, call handling, track navigation, volume, voice assistants, EQ modes, and ANC on/off, all with taps and presses.

The black flip-up charging case features the Skullcandy logo and status LEDs indicating the amount of power in the case. The included USB-C-USB-A charging cable connects to the USB-C port on the bottom of the case. The ANC feature does an even better job of blocking out the sounds of people chatting around you. However, these headphones may not be comfortable for long listening sessions, and their 5.1-hour continuous battery life may not be enough for long international flights.

Fortunately, the brand has grown with me, beyond the awkward years when I sounded like Ben Stiller from There’s Something About Mary. Today Skullcandy churns out beautiful products, including the bestselling Indy True Wireless, now updated with active noise cancellation. The Indy ANC True Wireless earbuds have good sound quality and come with a simple companion app, a wireless charging case, and tile integration.  This package results in a decent pair of earbuds, provided you can overcome a few issues. Skullcandy recently launched the Indy ANC, its new noise-canceling TWS earbuds that promise improvements in the noise-canceling department along with multiple audio enhancements.
