Deal on Sony HT-A3000: save $201.99 and get this for just $498.00

The Sony HT-A3000 came out in 2022. It is a 3.1 setup. It’s a cheaper alternative to the Sony HT-A5000 and the Sony HT-A7000, which are Sony’s more expensive options. Like these other bars, it works with Sony’s Virtual Surround Engine and S-Fore Pro Front Surround to make listening more immersive.

With the Acoustic Center Sync feature, if you have a Bravia TV that works with it, you can also use its speakers as an extra centre channel. But the bar doesn’t “truly” support more advanced audio formats like Dolby Digital or Dolby Atmos because it has to downmix them into stereo. If you don’t buy the separate satellites, you won’t be able to use the Sound Field Optimization room correction feature.

Features:

You can also buy a subwoofer that works with it from the manufacturer to make the bass sound better. Sony’s black plastic boxes are the best. And even though it sounds like a put-down, it isn’t. Soundbars, unless they are works of art in their own right, are better heard than seen, so I don’t mind that the A3000 is made of all matte-black plastic and has a dark grey metal grille.

This thing goes away when the lights go out, as it should. With a length of 37 inches and a height of just a hair over 2.5 inches, it should fit in front of any TV 32 inches or larger. If your TV has very low feet and the soundbar blocks its infrared (IR) receiver, the A3000 has its own IR repeaters, so you probably won’t have to hold your remote way up high to control the TV.

The A3000 is easy to set up because you really only have one choice right out of the box: plug the included HDMI cable into the HDMI ARC/eARC port on your TV, plug the other end into the A3000’s only HDMI port, turn on your TV, and then turn on the soundbar. Even if you don’t do the rest of the steps, you can now hear sound on your TV.

How to get Sony HT-A3000 soundbar?

Another mixed bag is connectivity. Even though it’s very easy to connect your phone to the soundbar through AirPlay and Chromecast, there’s no HDMI throughput, so you’ll have to use the eARC port on your TV for the soundbar. Even though the soundbar doesn’t have many apps, it does have Spotify Connect, which is useful if you want to use it to stream music between movies.
