Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 True Wireless Earbuds are at 32% Off, now available for just $102.33

The Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 are great for travelling and commuting. They’re small and light, so you can put them in your pocket or bag and take them with you. They also fit well and stay in your ears, and they have an ANC system that can block out the low rumble of bus and plane engines as well as background noise. The way these buds are named might make you think they are the same as the original, but they are not.

The Galaxy Buds 2 don’t have the oval shape and triangular touch pads of the Galaxy Buds Pro. Instead, they are longer and have a lower profile, like the Galaxy Buds Pro. However, the mic holes are smaller, there is no small speaker grille, and the craftsmanship isn’t as good. The Galaxy Buds Pro is made of rubberized plastic and shiny metal, while the Galaxy Buds 2 is made of plain, matte-finished plastic.

Features:

  • Active noise-cancellation
  • Extended functionality via Galaxy Wearable app
  • Two wireless charging methods
  • Balanced sound
  • Decent active noise canceling and great headset performance for calls

You can use your phone or the touch controls on the Galaxy Buds to change what they do. They’re pretty easy to use (one tap to play/pause, two taps to skip forward, and three taps to go back), and a recent firmware update made them even easier to use by letting you double-tap the edge of the earbuds to turn the volume up or down.

There are two extra silicone eartips and a USB-C cable for charging the Buds in the box. The silicone tips aren’t necessarily more comfortable than foam eartips you may have used before, but they have a good seal that you can test with the Galaxy Wearable app on Android and should be cheap to replace if you lose them.

How to get Samsung Galaxy Buds 2?

You also get an Ambient mode that lets you hear what’s going on in the outside world. It’s the same as Apple’s transparency mode on the AirPods Pro, which sounds the most natural of any ambient or transparency mode. It’s the closest to making it seem like you have nothing in your ears. Samsung has made changes to its Ambient mode so that it sounds natural at the low and even the mid settings. However, the high setting does really make the sounds around you louder than they are. But the AirPods Pro are still the best when it comes to how clear they are.
