COLOMBO: San Sri Jayasuriya, a large-scale hitter in Sri Lanka, has been charged with two breaches of the International Cricket Council's anti-corruption code, the world's governing body announced on Monday.

The former captain and drummer of the explosive opening refused to cooperate with any investigation conducted by the anti-corruption unit of the ICC, the ICC said in a statement.

Aged 49, he has also been charged with attempting to conceal, destroy or alter evidence that may be essential to an anti-corruption investigation.
