Caden donated $70 that he earned by shoveling snow for his neighbors last winter to the foundation. “I am 12 years old and I love Sanibel and Captiva and want to see both well preserved for both us and the wildlife that call the island home,” Caden wrote. “I have countless wonderful memories of Sanibel and I hope it is well preserved for generations!”
“I know my snow shoveling money is not much compared to other donations but I feel it is important for us all to do our part with what we have,” Caden wrote.
Way to go, Caden! Caden’s generosity was saluted by the foundation in a Facebook post on Thursday, saying he’s a “superstar in the next generation of young conservationists.”
