According to several sources, a new title of Knights of the Old Republic is being developed by a developer outside of publisher EA.
The title of Knights of the Old Republic was said to have been developed outside of EA.
In a recent podcast, Star Wars insider Bespin Bulletin said that a new game in the series is under development by an anonymous developer.
Last year, Knights of the Old Republic reportedly made a comeback in the form of a remake. The RPG is widely regarded as not only one of the greatest Star Wars titles ever made, but also one of the greatest RPGs ever made. A remake or a new entry in the series would certainly be met with open arms.
That said, this is the first time that a remake or new entry has been suggested to be developed outside of BioWare, its original developer, and EA. Lucasfilm just announced earlier this month that the Star Wars license would make its way to other companies. One of those early companies was Ubisoft, which announced it would develop an open-world title in the Star Wars universe. According to Bespin Bulletin, Knights of the Old Republic will also be visiting a developer outside of EA.
On top of that, Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier noted that this new game is developed from somewhere unexpected.
Bespin Bulletin said, “Among my excavations I heard that there was a Knights of the Old Republic project in development somewhere. I spoke to a few people and also found out that Jason Schreier said it wasn’t with EA, and we’ll never guess who the studio is doing this. game. “
BioWare released the cult classic in 2003. The following year, Obsidian created a sequel. There were no Knights of the Old Republic game in about 17 years. However, you can count The Old Republic, an MMO made by EA.
