After a long and difficult journey, Pollard strives to give back through business

Local massage therapist Terry Pollard understands what it means to rise above. After a difficult childhood and many obstacles in his early adulthood, Pollard feels fortunate to have started his own business and put himself to work in a career he loves.

“When people ask me how I got into massage therapy, I tell them where I really started,” Pollard said. “From at the age of 10 until I was out of the (foster care) system, I was in several group homes. When I was 18, I was kicked out onto the streets, had to pack my bags and go out.

The following years proved difficult for Pollard, who lost one of his closest friends in an accident, discovered that his grandmother had died and still had no home.
