PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – The Allegheny County Health Department announced on Thursday that it will begin administering the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine at the Castle Shannon clinic starting next week.

The county health department has received four vaccination trays for the first injections, and although it is a series of two injections, the second injection can be given in a 21- to 42-day window.
Limited first dose appointments will be available at Castle Shannon site for people aged 65 and over and only the week of March 1.

Registration for the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine at the Castle Shannon VFD Banquet Hall will be open on the site County Web at 9:00 am today.
