A company that was slated to open to the American Dream now faces a lawsuit for breaching its contract with the mall owner, as a number of construction companies continue to file liens on the property, claiming that ‘They owe nearly $ 41 million for the completed work on the entertainment complex.
Ameream, LLC, the Triple Five company which owns the American Dream site in East Rutherford, filed a lawsuit in Bergen County Superior Court last month against Villa Restaurant Group, a Morristown-based restaurant operator and franchisor with 350 restaurants worldwide, primarily in airports and shopping malls.
He argues that the restaurant group signed a lease in June 2015 to open two restaurants in the mall, a Green Leaf and a Tony + Benny’s Pizza Parlor, and began work on the site by June 8, 2018….
