ASUS announced two new business routers at Computex 2023. The ExpertWiFi EBM68 and EBR63 are made for commercial use and are designed to help businesses grow. The ExpertWiFi EBM68 is a tri-band AX7800 mesh system that is perfect for medium-sized businesses or places with more than one floor, such as hotels or stores. The ExpertWiFi EBR63, on the other hand, is a dual-band AX3000 router that is good for small offices or home offices (SOHOs).
The ExpertWiFi series of routers will bring unique features to the business router ecosystem, such as Self-Defined Network (SDN) capabilities, VLAN, and VPN support for better protection of business data, streamlined network expansion options, space-saving designs, and easy device management through a new ASUS ExpertWiFi app.
Up to five SSIDs can be used with SDN, which lets users separate and prioritize them. A Scenario Explorer can make it easy for anyone to set up their networks by letting them choose a scenario that works best for their business, have advanced features automatically adjusted in just a few steps, and set up polished guest portals and separate networks for employees and IoT devices.
ExpertWiFi routers come with a variety of VPN protocols, such as L2TP/IPSec, PPTP, Open VPN, and WireGuard, to provide the highest level of security. These routers also come with AiProtection Pro, which is powered by Trend Micro and gives businesses and connected devices security solutions to protect them from cyber threats.
The routers also have a backup WAN feature that lets users connect their ExpertWiFi devices to their Android or iPhone via USB cable and use their mobile hotspot for the whole local network when internet services are not available on-premises.
The ExpertWiFi series is expandable, and more products like access points, wired VPN routers, and managed PoE+ switches are on the way. This gives businesses the freedom to mix and match different topologies and combinations to meet their specific needs. From the third quarter of 2023 on, Singaporeans will be able to buy the ExpertWiFi EBM68 and EBR63 routers.
