In addition to the complimentary tickets, McGee and Gantt received chairs, chapstick, sunscreen and a $25 concession voucher courtesy of the tournament. But most glaring was their custom lanyard, which displayed the words, “Thank you healthcare hero” with Masters logos between the words. “My husband is so jealous I’m here,” said McGee, laughing. “This is a dream come true.”
According to the RNs, they had to complete a survey and write a short essay about their trails during the COVID-19 pandemic. Source
McGee and Gantt had each attended practice rounds before, but never a tournament day. “I can’t thank Augusta National enough for doing this for us,” Gantt said. “I was so excited when I found out I won a Sunday ticket.”
