Austin, Texas – The Austin Housing Finance Corporation is sharing information on affordable housing for Tannehill Lane through a series of virtual community meetings. Austin needs more affordable housing, and the Austin Housing Finance Corporation is seeking community input on development plans in your neighborhood. “Our goal is to provide accessible housing to the community to help the neighborhood and its residents,” said Travis Perlman, AHFC project coordinator. “There are a lot of families who like to live in these areas, but may be able to afford it; and we want to change that.
The mission of the AHFC is to generate and implement strategic housing solutions for the benefit of low and middle income Austin residents.
The primary functions of the AHFC are to issue single and multi-family bonds for reasonably priced housing finance and to assist the City of Austin in providing reasonably priced housing programs using HOME Investment Partnerships (HOME) and Community Development Block Grant (CDBG). funds provided to the City by the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
