SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif .– Barton Health will immunize 1,600 people at a drive-in vaccination clinic for high-risk, pre-registered patients on Friday, February 26.
Partnering with the El Dorado County Public Health Department, Barton is receiving a limited allocation of COVID-19 vaccines to support the county’s vaccination effort. Following the tiered, age-based vaccine delivery system, Barton will administer the doses throughout the day on February 26 at Lake Tahoe Community College.
Barton will administer the vaccine only to pre-registered patients with an appointment. Barton Health will contact eligible patients directly starting February 23 to schedule their appointment via MyChart. Appointments will be scheduled on a first come, first served basis until all doses are assigned. People who come to the walk-in clinic cannot be accommodated.
Barton Health will continue to request vaccines from the county and, where applicable, will administer them to eligible patients using the state of California’s multilevel eligibility system.
