Best Bass Earbuds

If you consider yourself a bass-head and love the rumble and rumble of genres like hip-hop, dubstep, or house music, then choosing the right headphones for your listening experience is important. You want to find the best bass earbuds that have enough power to be enjoyable without overpowering the rest of the song you’re listening to. Earbuds with great bass can help you keep pumping during your workouts, but bulky over-ears aren’t usually the best choice. Earplugs or in-ears are more portable and breathable, making them more suitable for use during your workout.

Our first choice on the list is wired headphones from Sony. The bass is delivered to the listener via 12mm drivers. On the earpiece is a microphone with playback controls. You get a very comfortable fit with silicone gel earbuds. Neodynium magnets contribute to powerful sound quality. In response to the sounding bass, the earbuds have acoustic noise isolation to preserve the magic where it’s supposed to be. They come with a flat 1.2m cord designed to prevent unwanted tangling. A soft carrying case is also included to keep the headphones tidy when not in use.

If you want something even more suitable to go to the gym, go for the Mpow Flame Pro, the best bass earplugs for sports we’ve tested. They are best suited for EDM and hip hop because their sound profile is quite bass-heavy and a bit on the bobbly side, overwhelming more delicate instruments and vocals. They also don’t have any support from the app to change their sound profile if it’s not to their liking. On the positive side, they have a much longer continuous battery life of just under 12 hours and a case that contains three extra charges. Overall, this is one of the best bass earbuds.

$60.17 $99.99

The 1More Triple Driver is the best bass earbuds with a wired design that we have tested. Although they have more bare-bones in the design compared to other headphones on this list, they are a solid choice if you don’t want to worry about battery life or delay. They even come with nine ear tips of different sizes so you can find the most comfortable fit for you. These earbuds have a well-balanced sound profile that delivers a snappy, thumping bass.

Although some users may find them a bit muddy, they are still suitable for bass-heavy genres like EDM and hip-hop. They also have quite a build quality and feel quite durable, especially as their earbuds have a brushed metal finish. Although their in-line remote control provides only very simple operation, they are very efficient and easy to use. If you need to make a call here or there, their microphone also does well to pick up clear voices.

Extra basses are certainly a feast for the eye in earbuds. That’s what you get with the Audiophile Elites just as well as with noise isolation. So you can block out the extra sound and concentrate on what you want. The high-quality sound quality is due to the dual drivers with 16-ohm impedance technology. The available frequency range is 5Hz to 31,000Hz, which goes beyond what the human ear can hear. You also get up to 118 dB for when you really want to boost the sound. Talk about going back and forth. They have multiple tip sizes for people with different ear sizes for maximum comfort. They offer excellent portability coupled with beautifully rich sound. Overall, this is one of the best bass earbuds.

The sound comes through in a stereo format with that extra bass punch you want. Along with the deep bass, you get rich sound details. They have a really great design, which in many ways resembles a microphone. Noise isolation ensures even better sound without outside interruptions. 9.2 mm neodymium drivers deliver the sound to perfection. They come with a built-in microphone for calls and commands. Silicone memory foam earbuds offer the highest level of comfort, and they also come with a carrying pouch. Three sizes of earplugs are included for comfort and versatility.

$198.95 $349.95

The Sennheiser IE80 Adjustable Bass Earbud is an upgraded version of the IE8 that is itself a pretty solid high-end headphone. Are the tweaks included in the IE80’s design worthwhile? The rubber and foam tips provide decent noise isolation from the outside world. The earplugs are also shaped in such a way that they don’t dig deep into the ear canal, but stay just outside the ear canal, improving comfort. If you’re familiar with Sennheiser headphones (click to see our brand overview and the best choices) you’ll know they’ve built a solid reputation for delivering the quality audio experience. The IE8 was known for delivering powerful bass that the IE80 brings back to the table. Overall, this is one of the best bass earbuds.

The slightly larger and heavier RHA T20 headphones may look bulky to most, but don’t be fooled by that larger frame. This is still one of the most comfortable headphones out there. The size is in fact due to the dual coil dynamic driver installed on each earpiece. What makes the dual coil dynamic driver special? Basically, it allows a better separation between low and higher frequencies, which then results in higher accuracy when it comes to sound production.

I have tested it with different music genres and admit that I am quite impressed. The bass response gets a wink because it gives a good kick and carries the music from start to finish. There’s a slight loss of accuracy in the midrange due to the emphasis on the bass, but that’s something only audiophiles would probably notice. Overall, this is one of the best bass earbuds.

When it comes to overall design and presentation, the V-MODA Zn is one of the most stylish pairs of in-ear headphones on the market. The angular and industrial tinted housing certainly gives the V_MOD a personality of its own. The housing is made of a zinc alloy in combination with plastic for a fairly solid result. Although the V-MODA is made of a zinc alloy, it is still quite light and comfortable. The product also comes with various earplugs. It is also compatible with Comply’s foam earplugs, which are among the most comfortable on the earphone market. Overall, this is one of the best bass earbuds.

As high-end in-ear headphones, the Sennheiser IE800S is actually quite small compared to the competition. This is actually a preference of mine along with other customers because I expect the headphones to be wearable and at the same time offer high-quality sound. The reduced frame of the IE800 is all due to the 7mm dynamic driver built into each earpiece. The housing is made of scratch-resistant ceramic and some internal parts are made of durable plastic. This helps balance weight while providing a fairly durable pair of headphones.
