Best Bluetooth Headphones Under $100

In recent years, Bluetooth headphones have become more and more commonplace, so much so that it’s now harder to find headphones with wire than headphones without a wire. While many people are looking for Bluetooth headphones because their phone doesn’t have an audio connection, there are many others who, like the idea of throwing away cumbersome cords that can get in the way and get tangled up. And today, we are here with the best Bluetooth headphones under $100.

While Bluetooth-enabled headphones used to come at a much higher price tag, they’ve now become common enough that you can get impressively decent Bluetooth-enabled headphones for under $100. It’s worth noting that Bluetooth still has a number of limitations, especially regarding the latency and quality of the microphone, so if you want a pair of wireless headphones for gaming or watching TV from the couch without cables, you’ll probably want to watch a pair of wireless headphones that use a special transmitter as opposed to a Bluetooth connection.

The best Bluetooth headphones under $100 with an over-ear design we’ve tested so far is the Plantronics BackBeat Go 810. These wireless over-ears are decently comfortable, with a lightweight design and ample use of plush padding, and feel sturdy, with lots of dense plastic used in their construction. They also offer decent intuitive physical control, putting the most important functions at your fingertips.

They have a very well-balanced sound profile, making them suitable for everything from hip-hop to audiobooks. They offer Bluetooth 5.0 compatibility and multi-device pairing, which is useful if you regularly switch between listening to content on your phone and computer. The 24.5 battery life is great, while a fast 10-minute charge provides 3 hours of playback, which is handy when you’re in a hurry.

JBL LIVE 400BT - On-Ear Wireless Headphones - Black

Last update was on: 2021-06-17 3:01 pm

The best Bluetooth headphones under $100 with an on-ear fit we’ve tested so far is the JBL Live 400BT. These headphones are not a bad choice for listening during light exercise. They’re quite light and clasp the head quite tight, while the on-ear design provides more breathability than most over-ears. The 30 hours plus battery life is excellent and lasts several days without recharging. Their sound profile is well balanced across the board, with deep, spicy basses and well-reproduced midrange and treble, so they should suit a wide variety of music genres.

If you want to refine your listening experience, they are compatible with the JBL Headphones app, which provides parametric EQ and presets. Multi-device pairing is a hugely convenient addition, and somewhat rare at this price point. On the other hand, their on-ear fit doesn’t deliver a very consistent listening experience, so they can sound different every time you wear them.

Sennheiser HD 4.40 Around Ear Bluetooth Wireless Headphones - Black

Last update was on: 2021-06-17 3:01 pm

Sennheiser does not often compete on aesthetics, but the company is very consistent in its audio business. Even in a price range like this, the HD 4.40 BT are stellar headphones, proving that you get a real bang for your buck. It’s perhaps a little surprising, considering they came out in 2017, but they’re still available and sound just as good as today’s headphones. Admittedly, the sound signature here is not at Sennheiser’s regular audiophile-level but chooses a more crowd-pleasing soundstage that boosts the bass a little.

Despite that, it really works well for multiple genres, pushing a vibrating sound that never feels unbalanced in any significant degree. You might listen to hip hop or rock on this and probably draw the same conclusion. The quality of the conversations also holds up well, making them easy to use when you need to talk. Unfortunately, because they‘re a pre-2018 model, they don’t benefit from the support features in the company’s Smart Control app. That means you don’t get the chance to tweak them with an equalizer. Overall, this is one of the best Bluetooth headphones under $100.

With the Anker Soundcore Life 20Q, you basically pay $1 for every hour of battery life you take out of these headphones per charge. You get up to 40 hours of playback while ANC is on, but that number goes up to a ridiculous 60 hours if you keep ANC off. For that amount of time, they should be comfortable to wear, and fortunately, they are. The headband has a large extension, complemented by deep and wide ear cups to carry even the largest of the ears. This combination makes longer listening periods a lot easier for your head and ears.

Anker claims that the ANC blocks “up to 90%” of the ambient sound, but there’s a caveat to that. As in some of the company’s other headphones, they perform better in drowning out high-frequency sounds while struggling with low-frequency sounds. Usually, the opposite is the case, especially in this price range, which makes these headphones so unique. If you live with screaming children, you might appreciate the help. Because of the way they fit, passive noise isolation helps shut down some of the low-end sounds, but the ANC could have been better at taking that further. Overall, this is one of the best Bluetooth headphones under $100.

$69.99 $89.99

COWIN gave its E7 Pro the extra boost over the regular E7 model, thanks to larger drivers and better ANC performance – all for less than $100. With the extra power, the bass is more noticeable off the bat, even if there was enough where that came from. The drivers ensure that the mid-range is only marginally upgraded for the treble. Improved ANC performance is always nice, though admittedly not a dramatic shift. It does a slightly better job by blocking low-frequency sounds.

Still, it’s a bonus to get ANC at all at this price, so it’s at least useful. They do a decent job of passive sound insulation because of the overall size of the ear shells. The Pro version, like the E7, is a bit heavy, but at least they fit well. The E7 Pro does not come with a larger or more efficient battery. Not that it’s easy to complain about running up to 30 hours per charge. Overall, this is one of the best Bluetooth headphones under $100.

$69.99 $99.99

On-ear headphones are not as common or popular as over-ear headphones, but in most cases, they are lighter and easier to wear. They don’t give you a lot of passive noise isolation so you can hear what’s going on around you. Jabra hasn’t made the Elite 45h so pretty on the outside, but it’s what’s on the inside that counts. The sound quality is excellent, although Jabra plays it safe with a balanced and neutral sound image as standard. You can customize that with Jabra’s Sound+ app and its equalizer, which gives you existing presets or the ability to create your own.

Unfortunately, the quality of the phone call does not follow, which may be because the two-mic array needed a third one to amplify your voice. It’s one of the considerations you have to make to be in this price range. Battery life goes crazy when you listen to the standard volume all year round. It’s the only way to get to 50 hours, but even if you increased it, you’d still be sitting north of 30 hours without blinking your eyes. Overall, this is one of the best Bluetooth headphones under $100.

You’ve combined a few good 40 mm drivers with a remarkable 40-hour life. Besides, you also get a cable as a backup. Overall, these are one of the best Bluetooth headphones under $100.

$74.95 $99.99

Jabra is a well-known player when it comes to the best Bluetooth headphones under $100. Honestly, their main focus is business solutions. Jabra is also known for its great consumer headsets. An example of such a model that comes to mind is the Jabra Move wireless stereo headset. It is a simple, reasonably compact set that determines the bang for the dollar. Apart from its pretty provocative looks and style, you get a pair of really excellent 40 mm drivers packed in a subtle speaker chassis. The battery allows about 8 hours of talking or listening to music, which is perfectly normal for a set of this size. Best of all is that the audio quality you get is impressive and worth it.
