Bethesda’s Indiana Jones game is still in the “very, very early stages of development.”

There was a lot of excitement at the beginning of this year when Bethesda and MachineGames announced a brand-new Indiana Jones title, set to arrive on Xbox in collaboration with Lucasfilm Games at some point.

Pretty much all we know about the game so far is that it will be executive produced by Bethesda’s Todd Howard, and the team in charge is MachineGames – the same studio behind the Wolfenstein series. There’s no word on whether it will be an Xbox exclusive as of yet, but it seems very likely that will be the case.

We haven’t heard much else about it so far, but speaking to GameSpot earlier this week, Bethesda’s Pete Hines confirmed that the game is still a long way off, and “you can make your own guesses about how far along [it] is”.

To be honest, we’re not anticipating any extra details on this title for the rest of 2021, and even 2022 might be pretty light on information. That doesn’t stop us from being any less excited though… we can’t wait to step into Indys shoes!
