WASHINGTON (Reuters) – US President-elect Joe Biden on Wednesday called on Senate leaders to work on other business while fulfilling their impeachment responsibilities after a House of Representatives vote that left Donald Trump the first US president to be impeached twice.
“I hope the leadership of the Senate will find a way to fulfill their constitutional responsibilities for impeachment while also working on other pressing matters of this nation,” Biden said in a statement.
