The Central Michigan University Research Corporation (CMURC) Board of Directors recognized Lýseon Additive Manufacturing as the CMURC SmartZone SME of the Year 2020, honoring founder Chris Williams for his innovative 3D printing solutions.

According to a press release from CMURC, Chris Williams has put years of sales and manufacturing experience in various industries to create his 3D design and printing company called Lýseon Additive Manufacturing. The company was formed out of the need for an additive manufacturing services organization that provides top notch service. Systems, processes and industry relationships quickly proved to deliver just that: world-class additive manufacturing with local service.
“Williams is distinguished as an entrepreneur dedicated to improving Michigan’s economic landscape through innovative technologies,” said Erin Strang, President and CEO of CMURC. “He took calculated and intelligent risks and succeeded.”
Bob Davies, CMU President and CMURC Board Chair, said science, technology, engineering and math are areas in which innovation and talent continue to thrive.
