After international singers like Chris Martin and John Legend, a number of Indian musicians like Ankit Tiwari, Akhil Sachdeva and Amaal Malik decided to spontaneously give home concerts for fans via social media during the outbreak of the coronavirus.
The idea behind the digital concert, Safe and healthywas given by Mourjo Chaterjee in view of the “Janata curfew” observed on Sunday. Mourjo is the founder of On Stage Talents, a multi-genre talent agency.
Akhil Sachdeva, who sang “Tera ban jaunga” in “Kabir Singh”, was happy to be part of such a noble initiative and said: “It is a great initiative and we are looking forward to this concert.”
The husband of actress Sunny Leone, Daniel Weber, will also attend the concert.
“We urge people to stay at home. In the meantime, we will do our best to entertain you with our music,” added Weber.
The concert will take place on Sunday between 4pm and 5pm. with artists who go live on their respective social media handles. Singers such as Tulsi Kumar, Jasleen Royal, Richa Sharma, Shruti Pathak, Jeet Ganguli, Abhay Jodhpurkar, Osho Jain, Bhoomi Trivedi, Ravi and Shargun Dubey have also teamed up to be part of the digital singing concert.
