Janhvi Kapoor may be the daughter of the late Bollywood diva Sridevi, but she is a personified humility. While not many people know their weaknesses or shortcomings and would accept them publicly, Janhvi has no qualms about accepting that their performance in their debut film Dhadak did not live up to expectations.
Janhvi, who made her film debut with Karan Johar, supported Dhadak with another star child, Ishaan Khatter. Although she had put her whole heart into the film, she lacked technical understanding and finesse.
Janhvi spoke extensively about what went wrong and spoke extensively with the BBC Asia Network. The beauty of the south was quoted as saying: “I think I lacked confidence and my language was a problem. I think I was a little stiff in places. I think one thing that made me work for myself was that I tried to get a lot of honesty and sensitivity into it. I think the emotionality was in the right place. “
She continued: “Maybe everything was heart, but a lot of technical understanding and finesse was missing. I lacked technical understanding and maybe my skills weren’t that good. It’s strange to say that about myself, but I think I felt honest on the screen. “
Meanwhile, Janhvi with Gunjan Saxena has a fairly interesting series of films in her kitten: The Kargil girl, Roohi Afzana, Dostana 2 and Takht in the making.
