Breweries bank on Tampa Bay Beer Week for must-have business

TAMPA, Florida – Eighty Tampa Bay breweries are participating in Tampa Bay Beer Week, which runs March 6-14. Typically, the event attracted at least 1,000 people, but due to the pandemic, it is taking place on a smaller scale.

Breweries will always have things like brewing contests, tastings, and special beer outings.

“Now more More than ever, it’s important to visit your local craft brewery, visit your local restaurant, spend money, move capital, ”said Ethan Tsai, general manager of brewing operations at Cigar City Brewing Company. “During the year of COVID, craft beer contracted massively, depending on where you live, the contraction hit 25-30% of breweries, just gone, just vaporized.”
