Arkansas’s legislative session is starting slowly

Categorized in

This week’s Talk Business & Politics focuses on the pace of the legislature as the third week of Arkansas’ 94th General Assembly comes to a close.

Speaker of the House Matthew Shepherd visited with Talk Business & Politics host Roby Brock to discuss his views on the beginning of the session. The pace, according to the speaker, was intentional rather than slow.

Brock then went over the most important business news stories from the previous week.

Misty Orpin, the executive director of Common Ground Arkansas, a nonprofit political organisation that strives to monitor governmental behaviour, joined Brock to close the show. She provided her critique of the bills submitted during this session.
