OTTAWA (Reuters) – Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said he would express concern over job losses caused by Joe Biden’s cancellation of the Keystone XL pipeline when speaking to the new US president later on Friday , but added that the US and Canada were now “much more aligned” on other issues.
“I will express my concern for jobs and livelihoods in Canada, especially in the West, directly in my conversation with President Biden,” Trudeau told reporters.
He added: “We are much more aligned with values, with focus, with the work that needs to be done to give opportunity to all as we build a better future.”
